Meet the RTM Directors

Nigel Sibley
I bought my flat at 25 Porchester Place with my partner in 2020, and we love living here part of each week, the rest of the time living in the Cotswolds.
My experience in residential property development and management comes from having been CEO and MD of companies providing retirement apartments in London and across the UK. I am a trustee of a private property portfolio and I am also a magistrate.
We all pay high service charges and, until recently, high contributions to the maintenance fund, but in my opinion, we receive poor service in buildings with deteriorating standards.
There is a lack of alignment between the Church Commissioners/Savills and the interests of residents. I have no confidence that this can be significantly improved unless we gain the “Right To Manage” the buildings under our own control. If we achieve this, I believe that we can make considerable progress to enjoy better value for money and improved standards of service.

Sunil Chopra
I am currently a part-time Senior Advisor to the MD & CEO of Tata Communications Ltd, a global telecommunications company.
Before this, I spent 22 years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global information technology company, where I was responsible for managing relationships with top Banking & Financial Services clients. Prior to TCS, I worked with Standard Chartered Bank and ANZ Grindlays Bank for 20 years, eventually becoming the Regional Head of the Corporate & Institutional Bank. Along the way, I also held senior roles in the Investment Banking Division and Retail Banking.
At one point, I served as the CEO of a financial services company in India and was involved in starting a bank in Nepal. My career began with Hindustan Lever, a subsidiary of Unilever, where I first stepped into the corporate world.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and hold an Economics Honours degree. Beyond my professional life, I have a deep passion for helping others. I actively support several charities, including Wellbeing of Women and International Widows, and for several years, I was part of the Community Leadership Team at Business in the Community, the King’s responsible business network.
On the personal front, I am married with two children. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, traveling, and reading.

I purchased my flat at 25 Porchester Place in 2015, and over the past ten years, I have grown to love this area and the community here. Connaught Village is a fantastic place to live, and I strongly believe that by taking control of how our building is managed, we can significantly improve both the quality of services and facilities for all residents while also enhancing the long-term value of our properties.
Professionally, I work in sales strategy and execution for a global firm, where I focus on driving efficiency, improving structures, and ensuring organisations run effectively. I believe these skills will be valuable in helping ensure that our building is well-managed, financially sound, and operating in the best interests of all residents.
There is real potential to make positive changes, particularly in security, maintenance, and overall building management. I want to see the property better run, better maintained, and better serviced—not just for those of us living here now but for the future of the building as well.
As a director of the 25 Porchester Place & Coniston Court RTM Company, I am committed to working alongside my fellow leaseholders to ensure that we take full advantage of the Right to Manage, giving us greater control, better service, and improved value for money. This is our opportunity to shape the future of our home, and I am eager to be part of that transformation. -
Viviane D'Souza - Company Secretary
I have owned my flat at 25 Porchester Place for over ten years. I joined Sunil in helping to set up the 25PP&CC Residents Association and later became a Committee member.
Having closely followed the building management process over the last three years by attending meetings with the Church Commissioners and their agent, I have seen that improvements are urgently needed. Under a Right-to-Manage structure, we can finally influence how our money is spent and have full financial and operational transparency. This will lead to savings on our running costs and greater focus on safety, eƯiciency and better long-term quality of the buildings. I therefore strongly support the RTM initiative and hope it becomes an intermediate step to obtaining the freehold.
My professional experience stems from previously working in the finance sector. I was a Senior Financial Analyst in the fund management sector and worked in investment banking. I have a Master of Business Administration degree and am a Chartered Financial Analyst. I speak French and Mandarin and would be happy to communicate in these languages with fellow leaseholders.
